Hey everyone. I am new to this site and only registered because I have found quite a bit of useful information. Thank you all for that.

Now, as the title suggests, I have a dillemma. I have a DVX100ap.

I don't know much about either the Mini35 or the Brevis 35, other than what I've read on a few forums and what I've seen from demo's and stills.

If anyone has any recommendations, pleaseeee help me out.

Thanks!

Main difference

Mini35-$10,000
Bervis 35-$1000

The mini35 flips the image in camera although it loses a huge amount of light. A DP friend of mine used it for one of his shoot. He set up 2k of light, snap the mini35 on, and was startled to see that the 2k of light was gone. Not a viable tool for the majority of us poor filmmakers except maybe to rent.

mini35 is amazing... beautiful ground glass, and allows you to use Cookes!!!!!! true it is 10,000, but if you've got the projects that call for an adapter, then the production can afford to rent the mini35. true, it kills light. i used it and loved it even though it took 2 stops from the HVX.
