I'm shooting a short in about a month in and around Vancouver and I'm looking for a DOF adapter of some sort.
I know this is a long shot (and I'm probably crazy) but is there anyone in Van city, Burnaby or North Van who has a DOF adapter they are willing to lend/rent/sell/give me for this project? If not, does anyone know where I can get a hold of one without spending too much $$$?
Any help would be appreciated

Let me rephrase the question:
Does anyone in or around Vancouver, BC even have a 35mm adapter of any sort? it seems impossibly hard to find even one. So far all I have is ProVision Video who rents one out sans lenses for the budget-unfriendly price of $375 + tax for the weekend.
The adapter will be used to shoot a short for the North Shore Film Festival of Life (www.filmfestoflife.org) - a charity film festival where all the profits go to an organization that helps homeless people on the North Shore. So it's not like we're trying to mooch off anyone here. We are shooting a $0 budget film to help others.
