Mini rig for 7d

Hi all

I thought you might be interested in a mini rig I put together for run and gun type shooting with my 7d and 17-55is lens. It's not really DIY, as all the parts can be bought, but I have not seen them used together in this way before.

The rig consists of:
- a flash bracket
- a P&C pistol grip
- a manfrotto shoulder brace
- a Neewer viewfinder with a bluestar eyepiece (attached to a GGS screen protector)
- a 7dayshop 64 led light on a Calumet ball head
- a Zoom H1 on a hotshoe mount

It's shown here mounted to a tripod as I have attached a quick release plate to the bottom of it, which is handy as I can move from tripod to hand held in seconds.

i was thinking of putting together something similar to this with a quick release on a monopod for event shooting and things like that. How stable can you be with it?

With IS on, it seems pretty stable to me. I've not tried with IS off. I'm trying to rig up a friction based follow focus using a skate wheel to finish the set up. Will Put up more pics when I do.
