Mini plug to XLR to HVX???

I would like to adapt the Countryman b3 I use with my Sennheiser Wireless pack so I can hardwire straight to the HVX. Sometimes I just dont need the wireless and dont want to buy another mic.

Is using a Female mini jack 1/8" to male XLR adapter appropriate to get the job done? Anyone ever seen one of these that is threaded?

You need to provide mic power and those adapters won't do it.
