Mini-DV to DVD conversion/duplication?

Hey guys! I am working on a documentary right now and I have about 60-70 hours of Mini-DV footage that I need to have converted and burned to DVD, so that I can hand-off the DVD dupes to a transcriber. Could anybody recommend a good duplication/conversion company? Best rate I've found thus far is $20 per DVD.

Or do you think it would be better to purchase a MiniDV to DVD deck/burner - and just just handle it in-house. I see that JVC make a tripl play deck (hard drive, DVD, miniDV) for about $1500. Does anybody have any experience working with one of these decks? http://news.softpedia.com/news/JVC-Announces-Hard-Drive-DVD-Mini-DV-Combo-Recorder-8073.shtml

Thanks a million for any help and suggestions.

Michael, before you make a capital investment, pls review your ROI. Being the first project of sorts, we recommend "outsourcing". The rate of $20 per DVD seems a bit low, you may want to investigate the source a little more.

The question that has to be addressed: bring "more" production in-house? Again this will be another physical time consuming application. If you see yourself doing more of these projects, outsourcing allows you the numbers and time too evaluate a proper decission. If your doing everything be careful not to over extend yourself.
