I hear you on the cigarette thing; I stumble from my bed like SHAUN of the DEAD and grab a cup of joe and a smoke and chill with my sports page.

Sigh; gotta quit gotta quit gotta quit.

you can doooo iiiit!

-strange googely eyed guy shouts from the other side of the street at johns workplace . lol

I have to admit this...On my 28th birthday in Toronto, a member of the crowd I hung out with in the artsy fartsy district on Queen st, decided to get me high on heroine. I knew the risks going in and believed I could handle it. It was without question one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I understood imediately the attraction to this drug. I'm a hack musician at best, but this night I soared at the nightly jam at the local after hours club. Only problem I had was ordering drinks, nodding off and waking up to find my drink gone and I had to order another. I never touched it again because I knew one or two more time and I wouldn't be coming home! I'm one of those people who'll try anything once as part of the learning process in my journey to be me. I do not advocate this sort of behaviour for anyone else though. This drug could easily get way out of hand and depart you from your normal mode of life in a hurry!

Some people try heroin one time and just throw up the whole time and never touch it again.

50/50...

Im scared to try the patches or gum cuz if it doesnt work then what? cold turkey? I don't think so.

NEIL

I know! I know! Aggggggggggh!!! The horror!

Mino

I dig it; I never tried that; it's a needle thing. But I understand the element of 'trying it' and respect that take. Sometimes, and I say this in general terms, it's the ones who have never tried it (or anything) that are the most misguided on these topics.

Pot was never for me as I am just to hyper as it is. I love chit chat and the gift of gab. Pot always made me ...tired........................... I don't like being tired; I thrive on energy levels.

Crystal? Yeah I tried it. More than once; but never to the point of being a 'tweaker'. Purely social situations. Hash; twice; Acid; 3 times; Speed; pills; a handful of times. Cocaine? Yes. Less than 10 times.

Coronas? There ain't nothing better than a Corona and Chips and Salsa and some good conversation. (Cept maybe the INDY 500; that's a line from a movie as I really don't like Neck Car)

it's funny...Years later I was given the oppurtunity to go skydiving...."**** that" says I "Do I look like the kind of person who would willingly throw myself at the earth at 300 miles a ****ing hour?" Either one could kill me, but the first time drug one I'm OK with...Go figure!

LOL

There was a time when I would have jumped from a plane; but then I became a father and some kind of weird moratality issues started happening.

NO CA$H

Oh yeah; X too. Once. Never again.

Skydiving looks like a lot of fun. I love that scene in that movie with keanu reeves and patrick swaazy(incorrect spelling). Whats that movie called???

That's my take on it...It LOOKS like a lot of fun...Why throw yourself out of a perfectly good airplane?

Point Break

I love that movie. I was toally into surfing when that came out; loved it. Fun film. Kathryn Bigelow is a great filmmaker; cool cast.

Oh yeah; and it's true; surfing is the source; how corny but true. For those of you that have never done it? Riding a wave, especially for the first time, is undescribable. It truely is a one of kind sensation; just you and a wave that no one else is on; your wave, never repeated again. Amazing feeling; calm, serene, surreal.

Sigh..........

I recall reading a statistic that the US has spent well over 500 billion dollars waging the war against drugs and drugs are winning! The pure dollar value of that war plus the cost to society with rehab etc is mind boggling.

Sorry about the hijack:laugh:

That poll is useless - I don't agree with either option. It should have (at least) three options:

Keep it as a criminal offence
Decriminalize it
Legalize it
