Million Dollar Baby style lighting?

It isn't that soft a source - look at the shadows on the floor frame left. Looks like a big coop or other big source is flown over that white brick wall and flagged or cropped with a set element from spilling too much into the room where the actors are standing. They are key lit from the resulting bounce. It is possible that there is a fixture at or near the camera position - a small one - bounced into a beadboard to add just a little detail in the shadows.

Something like this almost has more to do with grip than electrics work - just controlling and limiting the light in the frame.

That's my guess anyway.

The source on the wall is hard and flagged off the floor while the fill (or key, really) is most likely a large bounce (or through a silk) from the direction of camera. Easy.
