Miller Solo legs - avoiding wobble

Is there a trick to getting the Miller Solo legs to avoid having a wobble effect when manually focusing? I've got an FS700 on a Compass 15 head on a set of Miller Solo aluminum legs and from time to time I get some shake, or wobble, in the image.

I considered that, but also it seems like the wobble is there just from the tripod legs themselves... independent of when I'm focusing. Are Miller Solos known to be shaky?

My carbon fiber Solo, with a Vinten Vision Blue head, is very steady. No complaints about the stability, although I sometimes wish it would handle a slightly heavier load (which is a comment about the head more than the legs). Are you sure everything is properly tightened up on yours?

Are the rubber covers on the bottom of your Solo legs fully extended over the spikes? They seem to be most stable when tightened at the far end of each extension (spikes fully showing, or rubber covers fully screwed down).

Another option is to hang some weight off the carry strap to lower the centre of gravity of the sticks, with the legs extended, the lightest part of the legs is closest to the ground, which reduces stability.
