Miller Solo DV

i just bought the Miller Solo VJ legs to use with a Vinten head and am very happy with the legs. the only thing for me is that the legs dont set up or break down fast. i know some here might differ but for me they are not fast. i am ok with that shortcoming though.

i also like the strap dangling down in the middle for easy over the shoulder carrying. very convienent.

Those legs do drop down by themselves when you unlock them, don't they?

They have a round tube turn element, so, yes they will drop down if the bottom faces downward.

I have the Solo DV legs and think that they are the best tripod legs I have ever seen. They work really well. The tubes will drop down.

They are extension legs that lock with the twist of a wrist. Each leg has 2 locking grips that will extend a roughly 24" section.

From full closed to full open, it is a little slower to open than some ENG style legs.

If you open them all the way up, they are just slightly wobbly, but are stable at all other heights. I love how low they can go (head is about 9" off the ground). Also wish it was easier to attach a sand bag to the legs for dolly moves...etc.

They are very light and very portable, can go hiking and in a suitcase. I have also notice that you can fly under the radar in a lot of places because they don't look like traditional professional legs.
