Microphone Question - Sennheiser

I'm a n00b film maker. Just bought a new Sennheiser e835 Microphone. This mic got great reviews, but I was wondering what some disadvantages of it would be considering it is not the typical type of microphone one would make a movie with.

The main thing I see is that it's more of an on-stage vocal mic. You have to be really close to it to sound good. It wouldn't be very effective in booming situations.
 
If you can spend another $15 or so, buy an Oktava MK012 (with the hypercardioid capsule) from www.sound-room.com with the coupon code "DV". It's a great hypercardioid boom mic (way better than the price would suggest). It's a fantastic indoor mic. It's very sensitive to wind and handling noise, so you might want to put it on a boom stand if you don't have the budget for wind protection and a shockmount.
