microphone levels with MX02?

I have a Matrox MX02

I'm setting up a small green screen studio, and want to record high def, uncompressed video from a Panasonic HPX170, through HD SDI into the MX02, and capture with my 8 core Mac Pro in FCP, ProRess 422 HQ.

After a lot of research, I bought a microphone (Sennheiser ME66/K6), and a stand setup to put the mic not on the camera but an optimal 3 or 4 feet above and in front of the subject.

I'd like to run the audio not through the camera but straight into the MX02 for a cleaner signal. But the MX02, I've now been told, doesn't list the XLR inputs as being 'mic level,' so I'm assuming they are 'line level.'

(I know the MX02 doesn't provide phantom power, but this is actually fine as battery power isn't a problem and under phantom power, the ME66 output is supposed to be a little hot).

My impression, and I am new to all of this, is that if all I need is good quality mono audio for dialogue, I don't need a mixer per se. I need to boost the signal level, and adjust it. What kind of equipment will do the job? Any help most appreciated.
