theres like 3 different bundles on the redrockmicro site:

the indie bundle
Digital Cinematographer Bundle
Cinema Lens Adapter

which one would suit the needs of a regular guy with a dvx?

The indie bundle. You get everything you need with it, wheras the lens adapter you don't get rails or lens mount...which are both things you need.

If you don't already have rails, the indie bundle is the best value. The Digital Cinematographer Bundle is for cinema lenses that are PL mount or OCT 19 mount. If that doesn't mean anything to you than definitely the indie bundle is your route :)

Hope that helps

Brian

Maybe some one can help updating me with the micro35 production. What is the M2 all about? I understand if you purchase it, you'll find out. I planned on buying the "Digital Cinematographer Bundle", but I'm hesitant to throwing nearly $1300 at something i have no idea what it is. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this, I'm good at misunderstanding things.

I still plan on buying it....

We are not yet public about the M2 (late summer we will be announcing it). Suffice to say it is a marked enhancement of the micro35. We felt an obligation to tell our customers who entrusted their dollars with us. If you are hell bent to know more about it drop me a line and swear to secrecy. bvalente@redrockmicro.com

Cheers

Brian-

Maybe it would help to demonstrate the benefit your rods in the area of counterbalance.
I know I'd like to see a demo video on that, personally.

Thanks.

So noted :)

We had a shoot with a full steadicam rig, and it definitely seemed to help. DV and HD setups are so small and light it's almost a problem on those full rigs.
