Great article in Sunday 3/28 NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/28/movies/28breaking.html?ref=movies
about "Breaking Upwards" a $15,000 micro-budget feature that opened Friday at the IFC in New York and on video-on-demand. Puts to rest once and for all the question "can it be done?". Answer - of course - with a good story, friends, ingenuity, free Craigslist crew, PVC dolly rails, professional (SAG) actors in supoorting roles at $100 per day, and a cinematographer who takes the money he inherited from his grandmother for film school and buys "top of the line (HVX 200/Red Rock M2)" equipment.
Stop beating this horse in the forums and make your damn movie!
