i watched the video on it and it looks like it works pretty well. but how well does it hold on a shotgun? is it a snug fit or is it loose?

oh that's hilarious. thanks! so i guess the hanging bracket is removable or would it need to be sawed off?

I believe it's removable. But do an ebay search and you'll find all sorts of led "miclights." It'd be funny if this guy wasn't raping costumers' wallets like this. By itself, this light makes for a nice little fill, but because of the blue light it emits, once you gel to color correct it, it looses the little value it once had. We're always looking for that thing that'll give us that pro edge for next to nothing, but unfortunately, this is not it.

The FloLight people came on and explained that the MicLight is not exactly the same as this unit; they go in and replace the LEDs with more color-correct units etc. We had a big discussion thread on it here before:

I was thinking the same thing.. I almost bought this one for a cheap-o sungun:

I was going to gaff it to a hotshoe attachment - the one with the hole in it is great. Now if they can make a nice eyelight/ringlight version that doesn't blow out the subject's face..I would drop another 3.99 on that too.
