An Editor's retreat happening this October will be making two stops, Michigan (10/15-10/16) and Indiana (10/19-10/20) with sessions on Final Cut Pro, Color, Motion, After Effects, Pro Tools, and more. Speakers include Jem Scholfield and Trish Meyer.
Both events are being held at casino resorts– I presented in Michigan last year and it was pretty fun. Cost is cheap and includes breakfast and lunch both days. Hotels have rooms blocked out for <$100 a night. Registration discounts for early birds or students.

I'll be going to both conferences myself, hope to see some of you there.
