I just watched the teaser for a movie coming out this summer called Collateral, helmed by one of my favorite directors, Michael Mann. I noticed that this could have POTENTIALLY been shot on DV. There are some shots, (particularly the shots after the body falls on the taxi) that look very much like video (but tasty none the less). I'm hoping Mann is using Dante Spinote again as DP...he is truly awesome. If anyone else would like to examine this, http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/2004/0-9ABC/Collateral/trailer-page.html
If you haven't really had a chance to examine Michael Mann's directing style I highly recomend you do so by watching his greatest work: "Heat". Al Pacino. Robert Deniro. That film is one of the most disturbingly under-appreciated movies of all time. An awesome examination of Human Nature, and one of the greatest Heist/shootouts I've ever witnessed. At least rent it.
