I think the poll is missing - you might want to post what the usage of the mic is going to be too. I think you should get a 416 though :)

That blue schoeps (I don't remember the model name) Is the greatest shotgun I have worked with , but it requires very good boom op because even slight off axis move will sound like a lot off axis .

hard to say from that list, maybe more specific models. sennheiser 416 and senn me66 are two vastly different mics. All of those brands (except maybe audio technica) makes some of the best mics available. And best for what budget? Interior/exterior is two different mics much of the time. better to ask what is the best mic for situation xxx and give us some details. Or read the top 5 shotguns sticky.

Sanken CS3e.

It's the most practical and therefore the most likely to yield the best result under the widest array of conditions.

Of course there's a lot more to it then that, but if you have to have a simple answer then that's my answer. I prefer the sound of the Sennheiser MKH-60 over the Sanken... and I love the modularity of my AKG ULS system which gives me most of the performance of those guns but enables me to get the same performance out of a cardioid or hyper for just a little more after the 480b is paid for... and then in an interior... or WIDE exterior with multiple actors, I can cover them with a $700+ hyper that only cost me $200 (because the AKG gun becomes the AKG hyper with just the cap at that point).

I wish Schoeps would follow suit and make a shotgun CAP for the CMC6 and/or 5... then Schoeps owners could switch between CMIT and MK41 with just a CAPSULE instead of having to shell out such a high $$$ twice.

This post could go on and on... so you're not going to get the answer of what mic is best for YOU... only general assessments like I'm giving now... The short answer is my first answer. The long answer is after that and in the stickies.
