Mic package for HVX200

Seems the Audio Technica 4073a is the best choice for the money. i want to be able to use it as a boom mic and as a camera mount mic for different situations. What do I need for this?

I notice Panasonic shows their shotgun mic attached to the HVX in the brochure. Does the camera come with a mount for this and if so will it work with the AT 4073a? It doesn't look like a shock mount for the camera, so is there one available and is it necessary?

Which shock mount and zeppelin/blimp should I go with for boom situations? Which softie for camera mount situations? Which fishpole?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, the HVX200 comes with a shock mount (gel-like foam pad that surrounds the diameter of the mic). I'm using it for my 4073a and it works great. Although, given that the 4073a is on the longer side it does wobble a bit, but I think that is normal for a mic that's virtually floating in position. I'm in the same situation regarding a softie. Does anyone have any recommendations?

The Rycote Softie is the most common solution, and it can be used for both boompole and camera mounted situations. As far a boompoles go, your choices are are going to be length (you'll probably want something in the 9 to 12 foot range), internal cabling or not, and material (aluminum or carbon fibre). Internal cabling adds to the price but makes for less cluttered setup. Aluminum will be cheaper, but carbon fibre will be lighter. KTek and Gitzo are brands to check into. You'll also need a shockmount to attach your mic to the pole. The KTek KSSM is the mount of choice. Audio Technica would be your second choice if budget is a concern.
