mic mounting system?

So I have been reading posts all day and have answered a lot of questions regarding shotgun mics and shock mounts; however, I have a couple more questions I hope you all can help me with...

Today I ordered an AKG C 568 B for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. I can't tell you all how excited I am to have landed this gig and to have invested in audio equipment that I hope will match the incredible picture quality of my DVX100. Now the big question is how to mount the mic to my camera. I have been searching online, reading posts, etc. for some time now and have narrowed my options down to the Lightwave minimount (MM-USC) and either the K Tek K-SSM or K-GPSS. (I will be a one man crew and unfortunately will have no boom opporator by my side)

Do any of you have experience with either or all of these system and can you point me in a direction? I realize that the minimount is the most expensive, however I am well aware of how crucial it is to pick out the right shock mount and I am not willing to sacrifice quality audio just to save an extra 30 bucks. I don't want a "floppy" system since much of the time I can assume I will be on foot. I am looking to place an order tonight, so I would greatly appreciate some quick replies.

Thanks a lot everyone, and thanks for such an informative forum!!

maybe the k-sm (not SSM). It is a bit longer (3 inches from band to band, I think) that the K-SSM (1.75 inches from band to band). Also sturdier rubber for less "floppiness." I haven't used any of these, though - I have an at8415 with k-sus bands that works fine for me - camera mounted (when I have to) and boom. K-tek's are undeniably cooler than my at, though...

I just came across you request for infos. Here are some from my experience.
in any case try to find a mike holder that makes the mike independent from the camera body ie. a holder with elastic straps tied to a ring. I am using one from the german company Schoeps (www.schoeps.de) type AS 20 which works great with the Neumann KM 185 that I have mounted on my camera ( still the PD 150 Sony, but waiting for the HVX 200 PAL)
Your kike has a diameter of 21 mm - just like the Neumann. So try to scrape off some material of the inside of the Schoeps half pipe, warm th epiece before sliding the mic carefully on the pipe to avoid breaking.
I also highly recommend a windjammer. The best effect you get from a fur covered basket, but a foam covered with a Rycote works fine too. Just check your sound with good closed headphones.
if you want to be shure about limiting your sound effektivly I recommend a little mixer like the excellent Mixpre from Sounddevices which has almost no wight but great features and an unbeatable limiter. If you shoot alone this combo will give you
absolut security about good sound with no clipping and great control. good luck
