Mic good for V.O. work and recording vocals?

Would anyone suggest a microphone that would be good for recording voice over work and vocals for music? Not sure if this is too much to ask for, but I wanted to check and see. I would prefer something that ran around the $200-250 range, but I realize it may cost more.

i checked one nice cardioid large diafragma( 1.07 inch) chiniz lately - about 225euro( 1200 shekels) .
very worm sound - comes from the same factory as the oktava killers
no name but defenetly worth the money
the mic has 10 db pad and low cut filter .
worked grate for me for voice and guitar amp ( sd preamps in front)
