Metal Music Opinion

It's pretty good. But no offense to the band..it sounds like any other metal band out there...there isnt like a signature sound or type of melody thats different from the other metal out there. Not saying its bad..but I noticed that with the style. But its still good though...i like metal.

Ever hear of the Jagermusic CD? It's goooooooooood

Wow, that blew. But hey, gotta make money somehow. (Though I must say that I'm pretty conservative when it comes to metal)

Too bad this wasn't the other Dead Season from France. Much better.

I dug it, but it ain't that original. If these guys want to make something of themselves, they need a great, original video to establish there style. From there website, they may need some help developing that original style. If you are up to it, go for it. This is just my opinion.

It really sucks when a group with no concept nor image sounds like every other group out there and looks towards their video to "create a look" for them!
I had a rapper do the same thing to me and after shooting 6 hrs of footage I told him that what we're doing isn't worth sendig to the easiest entertained music lover. Needless to say we got into an big arguement and he left. I saw him the other day, he looks like he had a make over. The only sad thing about it now is that his "new image" looks like EVERY SINGLE RAPPER that's out there. Sports cap with the straight rim and a due rag under it, a throw back jersey, timb boots and a fake white gold chain that hangs to his nuts........ what a hopeless dope! I told him he was a fan and not an artist.

Some friends of mine (one is a member here) are in a band sponsored by Jagermeister...I'm pretty sure they have a song on that CD. Look for Backstreet Law.

I'm currently doing their new video for Till December...it will be posted here when completed.

Staino, that song is too long, too boring, too slow, too thin. They need to work on their songwriting skills, and each member needs to practice harder on their instruments so they can do more intricate timing and riffs -- something all good metal bands pull off well.

I went to the myspace page and listened to a few of their other songs. I think both "The One" and "The Art of Negligence" are better songs to make a video with.

To make a good video out of "Driven," you're going to have to tell an interesting story, because the song goes on too long to just show them playing (at less than 4 minutes it seems to go on forever--not enough changes). Plus, they really don't have "the look."

This may be a good thing because you'll get a chance to explore your creativity. I can't say the content will lead you in the way of a story, but make your own interpretation, even if it's a stretch. Dream up some crazy visuals. Lots of videos don't tell stories, they're just a progression of stimulating images.

Bottom line: If they have money to pay you and you think you can make them an interesting video, what the hell, go for it.

I've been listening to and playing metal since before it was called that. My first album was Zeppelin Four, and I jam with my kids now to Rob Zombie and Metallica. I covered it all in between from Anthrax to Maiden to Pantera. I am always reluctant to criticize, and this tune isn't all that bad. The production is actually pretty good, IMHO. But I have to agree with all the comments about the lack of originality. there isn't anything there to set them apart. It's doubtful any kind of video will do that either. But then again, 90% of what's on the radio is unoriginal. People find a formula and beat it to death.

Still you can use this as an opportunity to test your creativity. Do something against type; bunnies and rainbows or something that doesn't necessarily fit, and make it work. Come to think of it, that might also stretch your abilities to pitch an idea...because that's not what they are gonna want.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

That song sucks balls. The singer has ZERO talent (Unlike the other band members). This form of 'Death Metal/Speed Metal/Thrash Metal' (What do they call it these days?) is just bad stuff. I hate it as much as I hate RAP (Gangsta Rap; not Hip/Hop).....................

I'm not being biased; My current CD mix is a combo of Dead Kennedy's, GBH, Rage Against the Machine, Suicidal Tendencies, X and Janes Addiction (My point is I love hard guitar orineted music)

This aint music man. It just blows.

It's metalcore, which technically isn't even metal.

I wouldn't call that metal. I think it should be called Taz Rock. Here's another example of a misguided band that has a dude in there who can actually sing, then he's relegated to just an accent line here and there. THEY NEED TO FLIP FLOP THAT APPROACH! Have the guy who can sing, sing most of the song, then let Tazzie out of his cage for the accent lines. Also, the music just sounds like another drop "D" tuning band. They all end up sounding the same just droning on the E (tuned to D). It sounded cool about six years ago.
