Merlin Arm And Vest Calibration

Any owners able to help me out here, I watched the dvd, I read through the instruction manual. I'm finding the calibration very difficult, all I have on it is the hvx and the battery. The screen is open. I make slight adjustements to both the blue dials, the arc, which is now fully open. I've used the cookbook settings , and tried from scratch. Can someone give me some measurements for the blue dials? like how many centimeters I should be from the left or right end.

When I first used the merlin I was having the same problems, but I had a bit of a lightbulb moment after examining the mechanism.

Its importatnt to note that when you move the rollers, the handle moves under the stage. I thought the camera moved over the handle. If its leaning over to one side, you need to move the handle over to the SAME side the camera is leaning. Once I worked this out I found it much easier to ballence.
