Hello,
I am trying to sync up some dual-system audio in FCP. Since this is a feature with a lot of material, my goal is to merge the video and audio files into a single clip that can then be labeled and filed in its appropriate bin.
However, after bringing the merged clip into a sequence, the audio comes up short, ending before the video; the media just appears to end early, long before it should cut. When I go back to the original audio file in the browser, it shows a longer file with more dialogue.
I should note that I am merging a stereo audio track with a video file that already has its own stereo audio track (from the onboard camera mic, useful only for syncing up the in-points). So merging is creating a video track with 4 tracks of audio beneath it. The on-camera audio stays 'till the end of the clip, but the good audio that I need to use is coming up short.
Any ideas?
