Not sure where this belongs but I wanted to know if this is true.

I have been told that a Serial ATA II RAID 0 With Dual 500 GB Hard drives are two hard drives that are combined as on terrabyte. So each hard drive is 500 GB each. Is that correct?

yes, that is a stripe raid, it acts as one, so double the speed, no redundency, if one drive fails, all is gone. so use it for speed, but still backup to a seperate drive.

Thanks for the heads up. Is there a way to divide the two drives and create create a redundancy?
