I was helping out a friend, answering some filmmaking questions and he commented how he felt like he would never understand it all. I told him "You never do understand it all, but someday you will start to get most of it".
Anyway, that got me thinking back to my newbie days when I first found this forum. I did a quick search to find the first thread I ever started at DVXUser: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=19599
As expected, all the usual suspects were on hand to answer my questions: David Jimerson, Jarred (as ZoomForce), Neil Rowe, John Hudson, Barry Green, & Kai. I should add, I am still learning every day from these guys and a whole bunch of others. Thanks a lot.
That got me wondering if "the experts" started out as clueless as me. A quick search on Hudson's first thread (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=4139) revealed this irony, the moderator moved it because he posted in the wrong forum.
