memory allocation

i was wondering if anyone out there knows the best setup for memory allocation.
right now my system has the following specs:

Total memory- 4.096GB

Virtual Memory-
total- 2.0GB
available- 1.96GB

Physical-
available- 1.63GB

Page File Space
3.86GB

My system has a lot of RAM, and i just want to make sure i'm getting the most out of it. any advice would help.

Very good question. I don't think you can allocate like you can in Photoshop.
