Media Manager Newb Question

I was trying to move from the computer to the external hard drive, a FCP project and it didn't move everything (some files were still on the computer). Basically, I want everything off of the computer (nothing) and all the files on the external hard drive. I think I tried to "copy" using media manager, but I should have used "move"? Can anyone help out here? Thanks.

Assuming you've kept all your stuff organized the easiest thing to do is to drag and drop the folder(s) containing all your footage from point A to point B using Finder. If you use the MM though you want to use "copy" not "move." If you 'move' the files and something craps out in the middle of the process then you could lose data. After you've copied the data over launch FCP and verify that everything copied over okay onto the external HD then delete the files off the computer.
