Media Manager: Inaccurate repro?

I tried Media managing a couple projects and there are problems with both. The music seems off slightly by a couple frames and some clips are clipped with the last syllable cut off.

Are there some tricks to this process that I don't know about or is it inherently flawed as it appears?

I don't consider it perfect or the wonder tool of FCP or such, but its always done the job for us. All of our productions use the offline/online workflow so its used for every episode of every show. We've never had the type of problem that you're mentioning. We always do a comparison to a consolidated QT movie from the offline cut and other than speed change clips, I can't think of anything else that we specifically worry about/look out for.

Just out of curiousity, what settings are you using in the Media Manager dialog window exactly?

I copy clips and render files basically.

After MMing a recent film and seeing no problem, it looks like MMing films made on earlier versions of fcp are the ones screwing up. It's very frustrating!

Have you ever had that problem?
