Media Management Tools for dealing with MTS files for Mac OS

So, I posted this to the GH camera section, and got like one response from someone else who had the same question... So, I'm posting it here to see if there are others who either have the same question... or actually have an answer... other than 'none'...

---------
Since long before time began I've been using a program call iView to 'manage' media, well at least 'view' and save catalogs... I consider it to be far superior to Bridge.

But several things have happened in the last 10 or so years... one, the company got bought up by Microsoft, and disappeared. Further, since it was a PowerPC app, I've just been lucky enough that Intel Mac OS has a PPC emulator enough that it works... but there are issues...

Anyway, what do people use to manage their media, especially in the case of MTS files. The only tool I have at the moment to view MTS directly outside of the NLE, is VLC which is reasonably good for simply viewing, it doesn't put up a page of media, with thumbnails, and view-by-clicking that would be useful.

And speaking of Bridge... CS5 Bridge still doesn't know what to do with MTS files... (Does CS 5.5 Bridge do better???)

Further, is there any tool that looks in more of the BDMV directory structure and uses the information found in CLIPINF folder that relates to the MTS files found in STREAM...

Thanks.

Hi j1clark,
Did you find a suitable application to manage mts files?
I've been searching for the same and haven't found anything yet.

Cheers,
Michael

Shedworx has some cool tools for management and for creating thumbnails.

Also check out stuff from Imagine Products:

I downloaded and tried "Shedworx" Cosmos application. While it did allow me to 'view' MTS files etc. there were some basic 'missing' items. I posted to the developer, and they indicated that for stills EXIF information was 'read', but the displayed 'info' didn't seem to have much detail. Perhaps in a next version things may be better in this regard.

The second suggested looks like it is just 'pieces' of the solution. The Cosmos app from Shedworx handled stills and video media. The Imagine Products, seems like a collection of 'viewers' that fit into something called "Mac Digital Clip Library"... in either case... the prices are significantly 'higher' than what want to pay...

I did try the "HD-VU" tool, and for the price I think Cosmos is 'better'. But neither add up to what I'm wanting... in terms of 1) managing assets visually, 2) giving me information about the media, other than what I can derive from a directory listing.
