Media Fx/CC fading in?!

All my video fx/color correcting are fading into the clips I apply them to. For instance, I color corrected a building, so when the clips gets to that part, the building starts out looking how it did previous to cc'ing it. Then, within a second or two it fades into the color corrected version. Why is this? It's also happening w/ borders or basically anything I do to the track. Am I an idiot? Tim.

No, I didn't set keyframes. Not on purpose anyways. I also didn't copy/paste the effect to any other clips.

Then you did it by accident. This happens if you have Sync Cursor on (which I think is on by default). That's the first icon in the FX timeline area with the cursor symbol and the lock. If this is enabled and you place the cursor somewhere in the event (which you would have to do to see the effects of the color correction) it will automatically insert a keyframe at that position.

What you need to do now is open the FX, find the extra keyframe on the FX timeline, right-click on it and select Cut, then select the first keyframe, right-click on it and select Paste. This will place the FX changes at the first keyframe where you intended them to be.

In the future, turn Sync Cursor off unless you really want to create keyframes.
