Hi guys. I'm going away to the mountains of NY state next weekend, for 3 days. I wanted to bring my d40 for some great shots while there. I wanted to purchase a new media card and wanted suggestions from name brand (Lexar, Sandisk), to size capacity (1 gb, 3gb, 4gb) etc... Thanks for any suggestions!

I use a SanDisk; Extreme IV, 4.0GB Compact Flash. It's fast and has been totally reliable. My Sony A700 is a 12.24 MPixel unit and in the XFine jpg mode, creates files about 8-10 MB. The card holds about 380 photos. RAW files are about 19MB and the card holds, of course, about half as many. I don't know about your camera, but mine can also have a Memory Duo card in it. I have a 2GB in that spot.
