ME67, 66, or 64?

For a sub $1000 Mic package, what do you think is the best mic for the price?

I was looking at the ME66/K6

Any good, or should I go with a different brand, Shure (My favorite brand for music but I don't know film-wise)? Sony?

For indoor use ME64 and outdoor if you could have it nearly without noise around

That was too easy! I want good sound for under $500! Anyone have any suggestions? I was considering: http://www.zotzdigital.com/item.php?cid=67&pid=1306

Although I don't know how good that pole and shock mount are...but I really can't afford more than $500.

I need this for a documentary. The mic will be mounted on DVX most of the time, and then for interviews would it be easier to get a pistol grip and have someone hold it instead of boom pole? Would that sound bad?
