I've seen where people have gotten upset with others linking to his site, but matt replyed to an e-mail I sent last night telling me the the Free Your Mind *making of* is online (its downloading!!) as well a clip from the finished vid... i hope i dont get scourned! :o

He still owes me the DVD! I can't wait to see the making of. I hope there's footage of me (most of it was shot on my dvx, thought not by me!). In 60i, though....

does he have an ego anyone? that would be annoying. sure hes incredibly talented but ego's really bother me. you were on the shoot policar?

I was on half the shoot. He definitely has a bit of an ego, but if you were him, wouldn't you? He's a pretty nice guy all around, though and super hard working. He has even better social skills than film making skills in some ways, though. He negociated himself out of some amazingly precarious situations which I would have just backed out of. I think most people would be impressed by him and his dedication if they met him in person.

I have some problems with the autograph in his web page, but people say he's not an egomaniac, and on the boards he is cool too.

Now no offense to Matt, I really like his work, but I liked the behind the scenes video 5 times more than the clip. Dunno, perhaps content really does it for me. Audio is ****, unfortunately, but it's understandable... Good cinematography always falls behind a bad concept. That's my major complain about the majority of music vids and the hype there is over the directors (not to say Michel Goundry, Cris Cunningham, Spike Jonze, are not amongst the great world directors).

The girl is also much cutter when she is not trying to rip her breasts apart.

ive talked with him by email and he's very nice. egos suck...period. But if he has one in person it might be due to all of you guys saying "omg matt your so good, i wish my stuff looked like yours" when you arent putting the effort into getting the most out of lighting and shots as you could.

Just watched the video. looks great but way to many fast cuts IMO. Im not even going to start on the guys singing.

Yea the song is awful, however I think the video rather saves it. He sounds pretty excited about his next project... he said it would have "a new depth". I'm stoaked cause I think that's definately his next step (he says he will be using an XL2). I don't think hes got a real ego, when talking to him through e-mail he seems ultra humble. I'm sure when hes directing a little ego comes through, as it should to maintain the "head position" or whatever.

Ive exchanged a few emails with Matt and he has been nothing but polite and courteous with no sig whatsoever of negative energy. IF on the set a Director shows some signs of what some may misconstrue as attitude, ego or power its cause they have to; they are the director. Thats why some people can and some people cannot.

well, sighhh... the site is down again... looks like we wait for the production company's site. I want to see the other guys work anyways.

this has been the trend of his websites for a long time now....He would get the site up..and then a day or two later it gets taken down...and then redesgined...and then after a long time back up again, then back down. MATT PLEASE KEEP THE SITE UP LONGER :(
