MBP AND Tower sharing a monitor?

Is there a way to have my MBP and Tower (home PC) share an ACD simultaneously? So if I can connect my MBP through an MXO to the display can I just run some cables from the tower through the same MXO to the display, perhaps involving a switcher? or A/B box

I actually do this in my apartment, though not with an ACD. Getting a simple KVM switch would do this just fine, or you can get straight-up Y-splitter DVI cables with a little rocker switch for the two signals. Works great, although I have heard of issues with signal quality from brand to brand with lose wires in the box and whatnot. That aside, it works fine and is cheap enough.
