i just bought that camera... its an 8mm bolex camera. the ebay listing says: Original Kern-Pillard lense shows 12.8 1=38 mm & Lytar 50M Berthiod 1:1.9 F=13... thats good right?? i kinda jut bought it outta the blue casue i saw it was a low price.

so my question: whre can i get film for this thing!?? haha i live in NJ, and also, where can i get it... developed and put on dv tape?? haha im lost

hey i just read a post in the old film section of the boards that said if its 8mm forget it and i need super 8mm. this camera is listed as... "BOLEX 8SL" is the S there super? lol any help appreciated

That doesn't appear to be a Super8 camera. However, if you are looking for one, I have several Beaulieu Super8mm cameras I'm about to parcel out on e-Bay.

hey another question, what kind of batts does this thing need? one of those batt belt pacsk? ifs so where can i get that too!!

very cool camera. i've been wanting to collect 8mm and 16mm cameras just for a display case. i really don't know anything about them, but i usually do a bunch of research before i purchase any type of equipment, even if i'm not going to use it.

anyways, how much did you buy that cam for?

The Customer Service there is comical at best though

Oops, I did not know that!
That's a real shame, 'cause it looks like they have good thing going there...well, it DID look that way.
Thanks for the heads-up! I had considered using them for a 16mm project.

lol that sucks. when i get the camera ill be sure to tell ya guys whats up with it. terry, what you selling them for?

....why would you buy that if you have no idea whatsoever how to use it? it takes 8mm rolls instead of super 8 cartridges... sorta hard to find. no reason to shoot on that film anymore. why not just buy a 16 camera and shoot 100 ft. rolls? i picked up a scoopic with filters and two batteries (had to recell them myself) for 200$ a few months ago.
