hi - i love the forum, its quite imformative. i searched but didnt really see any specifics on my questions (or maybe i did but its not in laymen's terms)

anyway -

i shoot video with a canon z300 dv camera.
i edit with premiere pro 1.5.
i have a 54 inch HD television.

my question is, what export settings should i use to get my completed video to look "clean" on my huge television. i dont care how large the file is once completed. i just want it to be suitable for broadcasting (i'm sending it to cable access)

thanks in advance. again i apologize if it has been addressed

edit: while im here, id also like to know if i should export differently to distribute the vid on the internet (moreso for d/l than streaming). if so, settings for this would be appreciated as well

Your cable access is very unlikely to be broadcasting in High Definition. They will broadcast in standard definition, which is the same as your DV camera is shooting - 720x480. You need to talk to the cable access channel to see what they want in terms of delivery format. They will probably be able to handle a miniDV copy - just Export to Tape and you're all set.
