Maximum data rate for YouTube....??

Hi, I notice some posted videos look great on youtube, while others look fuzzy.

I've exported from PPRO 1.5 a very clear .mov file, and when I upload it to YouTube, it doesn't look clear. (h264)

By increasing the data rate, I get a better picture, but what is the max I can go prior to it being too big to stream?

Is there a standard bits per second that any computer can handle for viewing on YouTube?

Thanks,

D

100MB... yes, for the total size of the avi clip....

however, what is the max data rate per second?

When I export from PPRO, you can set the mbps...

1MB is kind of grainy.... 2mb per second? not sure how much YouTube can handle.

Some people have figured it out and their online clips look amazingly clear and don't "start and stop" during playback. Then there are others that are all fuzzy.... like mine.

Youtube re-encodes to their specs anyway, so your data rate per second doesn't really matter. Just give them the highest quality file you can and pray.

Do you have After Effects? If so, open the Premiere prodject in After Effects. Add to render Q. Set the render settings at Best; the output module template = Video for Windows- check the stretch box and go with 620 x 465 or 640 x 480. 320 x will give blotchynesss and Quick Time will look grainy. Good Luck!
