Now that 4k cameras are out, how can vegas edit this since its maximum allowed resolution is 2,048 by 2,048??????

Are all those question marks really necessary?

I think you're several steps ahead of the game. You're not going to need to worry about 4K resolutions for a while.

sorry about the marks, anyway, the reason i mention this is that: since red is one of sony's competitors, and say someone wanted to edit 4k, then what to do?

Actually... I do a lot of "dome show" work, and the common raster size is 3600 by 3600 angular fisheye or a full 4096 by 4096 for the better dome venues... and I recently finished 4 minutes of animation and VFX at that resolution for "Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity".

I was very sad the day I tried to set up a Vegas project and redo my proxy edit (at 1024 by 1024) for full rez 4K and watched the pixel size default back to 2k...
