Maxell 250GB iVDR-Xtreme

Did a search for this but couldn't find anything written here about it so I apologize in advance if this is a dupe.

Has anyone used one these new drives yet? Apparently, you can plug it straight into your P2 cam and offload a P2 card onto it. All for under 500 bucks. No laptop required.

All the info on it was vague at first, it got my hopes up when it said connect to a camera. But this is just an external hard drive for back ups, no recording. One that you can drop on the floor to boot.
