mattebox for lenses

[moviemaker999]

Hello,
I see alot of camera rigs that have 35mm adapters and have a mattebox on the photo lense. As an example, when I see chrosziel matte boxes that specify a model of camera that they work with, but i see chrosziel matte boxes on lenses or Generally any mattebox. Thanks (sorry if I misspelled :thumbup::thumbup: :thumbup

Depends on how you want to mount your mattebox - clip-on to the lens or rails mount...

The most common solution for 35mm adapters is to have a mattebox that mounts to the rails. Chrosziel makes both kinds - rails mount ones and also ones that clip onto specific camera lenses... hence the confusion?

Take a closer look at the rig photos that you like and look at how the mattebox is attached..

Cheers
