hey everyone,
i'm milking this forum for all it's worth.
really a big help though.
thanks to all who have put up with my nincompoopery thus far.

question:
when you buy something like the formatt (or any other) matte box for the dvx, do you have to use filters for it? is that the whole point of having the mattebox?

can you just attach it and leave the 72mm UV on the lens and be done with it? or do you have to insert the square filters into the box?

gratzie

Re: Matte Box/Filter Question

..you dont have to use any filters in it. you can leave the trays empty. the mattbox also serves the very handy purpose oif shading the lense which reduces lense flare and streaks, and can improove clarity and contrast in your imagery.
