Matrox with HDTV

I have a 32" 1080P HDTV that has DVI inputs. I was thinking of getting another video card so I have 3 DVI outs, then going through the matrox into the HDTV. Has anyone tried this?

Running two video cards can causes problems in FCP and Color won't even launch. Are you wanting to run the MXO to the HDTV for just a preview/client monitor or are you looking for something accurate?

Bummer. It was just a lark really. I use a two monitor set up now and output via an intensity pro card to an SD production monitor for accuracy. I have the HDTV for clients (and myself, just for grins), but I was hoping to get it to be a little more accurate and take advantage of the DVI inputs.

Have you looked at the Matrox DualHead2Go products? It allows you to split one DVI port between two monitors. I think Shane Ross has a setup utilizing a DH2G from one DVI port and an MXO on the other.

Yeah...I am using the TripleHead2Go with the MXO right now on my Avid. Works just fine. Able to use the MXO to get an image via PRESENTATION mode to my ACD....and even my HDTV.

Shane, does the triplehead2go allow you to place monitors pretty much anywhere or do they have to be setup all next to each other?

I watched the product videos and I have no idea how it work. haha.
