Matrox MXO - Any comments?

What really loolks interesting is the fact that Matrox can now be used with any DVI screen instead of jsut the apple. The value just went sky high to me, and I am thinking of adding matrox to my own arsenal.

AJA I/O HD will be $3500; MXO is $995.

MXO represents a phenomenal value for those who just need an output device.

My primary editing system is a MacBook Pro MXO to a 23" Cinema Display and a Panasonic BT-LH1700W. I've been using this set up for about 6 months now and really like it, but the MXO has not been without problems. It worked swimmingly for 5 months, then suddenly stopped working. It appears to have something to do with viewing 720p24 -- when I set it to that, it shuts down the video output (it will still mirror the computer display, though). Since I no longer have customer support from Matrox, I'm on my own to troubleshoot it.

On the plus side, my workaround has been to use Digital Desktop Cinema Preview, which works unexpectedly well. The color I get on the Apple monitor actually matches our Sony CRT down the hall better than the Panasonic display did (I've never done a side by side comparison, but the general "feel" matches well). If I were putting together a personal editing system, twould probably consist of a MacBook Pro, MXO and 20" or 23" Cinema Display.
