I know AJA box is a superior piece of hardware and has unique abilities, but I just want to know if the IoHD has too the same MXO key features like:

Frame accurate, broadcast-quality audio/video output in HD and SD with guaranteed a/v sync
• Universal compatibility – designed to run on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers and laptops
• Portable, hot-swappable external box
• Realtime downscaling of HD projects to SD resolution with proper color space conversions
• Inexpensive HD and SD monitoring – interlacing artifact elimination and gamma correction when previewing video on a Cinema Display or other DVI monitor
• Hardware acceleration of DVCPRO HD, HDV, and Final Cut Pro Dynamic RT segments to full output resolution to save processing power for other operations
• Genlockable HD/SD SDI, HD/SD analog component, Y/C, and composite outputs with up to 8 channels SDI embedded audio output and stereo audio monitoring
• Flicker-free, broadcast-quality video output of your computer desktop with any application

Or, in other words what of the MXO features I can't do with the AJA IoHD...

Thanks

MXO is output only. No capture whatsoever.

The AJA I/O HD not only captures and does ALL of the above, but it also captures into the new ProRes 422 codec, which delivers uncompressed HD quality at uncompressed SD file sizes. It also has the ability to capture HDV as DVCPRO HD.

No comparison whatsoever.

well these are 2 totally different pieces of hardware for 2 different solutions
the MXO is more for refrence it is not a caputre device .
the IOHD is a big hunk of goodness, anything in , anything out you would need portable and lovely with ProRess 422 on the board encoding on the fly for you .
and price also MXO is 999 and IOHD in 3495 .
and no not all the feature sets of the IOHD match that of the MXO but each has its qualities to purchase.but if you had to ask that question id be hesitent to tell you to buy either not knowing the difference .

dammit Shane stop copying me , posting at the same time from a different coast, wait till i see you again its war , oh wait i see you on ichat never mind.
