Matching/Merging two shots in one frame

Hello, I made a shot in 16:9, now I wan to transform this in a 2:35 shot. I cut a piece of the background and place it on and side upsidedown, It works m but you can see the line of the end of the actual frame, Can I merge this line somehow? this is the shot, you can see the line is in the left side

Use a track matte with feather for the left clip.
You can draw the matte in the titler and add a Fast Blur for feather in the timeline.
