Matching colors across clips in Apple Color

Hi everyone,
I'm working on my first project in Apple Color. I've read through the Apple training book and have seen some pretty good videos online so I've got many of the basics covered and have already seen fantastic improvements in my project already. However, one thing I'm struggling a bit with is regarding scenes/takes that were shot on different days and the wall paint (which is a lime green in the room) in some clips looks normal (green) and a bit yellow on the others.
I can get them within the same ballpark of the lime green I'm looking for but there's still a noticeable difference, even after having tinkered with all of the settings. I'm basically wondering if it's possible to take the green of clip 1 (using this as the "good" green that I want the other clip's walls to look like), key the color of the walls in clip 2 and get it to match the green of clip 1. Does anyone know if this is possible or maybe know a simple way of doing this? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Color has a number of tools for accomplishing continuity between shots. Both of the Apple Pro Training Series books have pretty detailed tutorials on the topic. For example, look at lessons 3 and 9 in the APTS Book "Color Correction in Final Cut Studio."

Thanks, I'll pick up that book. The APTS book I have is just the "Color" book put out in 2007 and has no lessons/tutorials on scene matching specifically, just regular stuff like color keys, effects, etc.

Before you spend money on a new book, look at Lesson 5: Grade Management in the book you have. It addresses the topic you are asking about.

The Lesson 5 Grade Management doesn't really address what I'm trying to do. I got the other book though and the lesson seems to help but it kind of sucks that they only did hue matching in Final Cut, I wish they would've implemented it in Color too. Oh well, thanks!
