Came across this book on amazon:

any opinions?

I bought it. It's not horrible, but a lot of the shots are hard to understand from the pictures and descriptions. It really needs a video to go with it. Certainly not the worst camera book I've seen but I was somewhat disapointed.

I thought it was pretty good. One of these days I'll have the time to setup some of the shots for myself, beyond the ones I already use....

So borrow it from the library then?

Library = borrow
Borrow = Free
Free = Why wouldn't you? Haha, last semester, I had to have taken out 85% of the film making books my schools library had. Just to really read maybe 3 of them tops... I figure you can always take it back if it ends up not to be what you are looking to read, which was usually the case with me. Lemme know how it is if you read it.
