Martin Scorsese's The Departed

I can't wait to see Nicholson play the mob boss.....people at aicn said he's way over the top. But thats how he's supposed to be....He's Jack Nicholson!

well I dunno It's a remake of my favorite hong kong crime trilogy. I'm worried about it on many levels. and leo...... guh enough.... the original story won tons of awards and sit in blockbuster with a gay box.

ok the original story is...

About the Traids trying to get undercover moles to intercept the Hong Kong Police Department to keep a hand in it always to watch all sides and to give info to the Triads and where to be and not be.

Game of cat and mouse.

The Police do the same thing as well placing a cop into the Triads.

So the game starts and friend were enemies enemies become friends and the two moles kinda lose what they were suppose to do and go through mental and other horrible emotional states.

and the story goes on...

I love it I just hope the story is taken care of.

I am excited about Jack Nicholson acting over the top, maybe he is thinking of what Stanley Kubrick did in The Shining.

Ravinesedge why did you not mention Leo, was it to diss him? I cant think of any actors off the top of my head with more talent who are younger than him...I think he is 32.

Spidey what is the name of the original which may be at blockbuster? Thanks

Scorsese is something special.

Thanks man I am going to check it out.

What a perfect example of how insane movie marketing can be, that is so funny about the girl on the cover.

i thought the movie was about a real life mafia boss in Boston.... that's who Nicholson's character is based on.

the reason i didn't mention DiCaprio is because i personally don't like him. i'm not saying he doesnt have talent, he does, i just don't like him.

he's working a lot with Scorsese now... he's like Hitchcock and Stewart, Tom Cruise and Spielberg etc..

JESUS! How could they do something like that!? That's probably the crappiest box cover ever! It looks like a box for a Mindless explosions type B-Movie!

Anyway, my favourite Infernal Affairs was the 2nd one, actually. Even tough I think Andy Lau and Tony Leung where great (as always) in the first one, the second Infernal Affairs was a lot more intelligent and had a better story. Infernal Affairs is Academy Award worthy in its original incarnation already. I believe Scorcese doing a remake of it is not needed. I'm usually not against remakes, but in this case I believe there's no need for one.

i saw the trailer for this when i saw Miami Vice. when i saw nicholson i knew right away it was the departed, and blurted out "The Departed!" to which the people next to me looked at me weird. can't wait to see it, looks great
