marshall & hand-held? mounting configurations?

i know there are a few scattered posts on this topic, which i've read through, but i'd like to get a few additional suggestions on mounting the marshall 7" to the HVX - particularly for handheld work - or are those of you with this combination not running the monitor when going hand held (which this camera is extremely difficult with regardless imo)?

i've tried the hotshoe mount, but this makes the camera extremely front heavy. it's a heavy set-up already... in all, i've calculated the entire configuration (cam, battery, cards, mattebox, monitor w/ pany battery, mic, and cables) at just under 12 lbs. suffice to say it's pretty tough on the arms when you jump off the sticks and can get extremely difficult on a long day.

i believe a support device like the DVrig or flyer is essential with the HVX, but after all the accessories thus far, it might be later this year for me. even the glidecam looks like it would help steady things and is reasonably priced, but at 12 lbs, i'm already over the weight range they list (4 lbs - 10 lbs).

any ideas in the short term to alleviate the balance issue?
is anyone using an isreali arm on the handle mount (although more weight!)?
how about using an arm off the tripod and leaving the monitor behind for hand held? i remember hearing about something like this (engadget?)... anybody know where to find this arm?
