Marshall and Me

So,.....Several of you are familiar with the hit/flicker problem involving the HVX and the Marshall VR70PHDA. My Marshall has visited El Segundo twice in the past couple of months with Fed Ex and UPS being the only beneficiaries.

I've talked with Bernie at Marshall. He's telling me that this problem is unique to the HVX and apparently they are having trouble finding one to test with monitors that are having this problem.

Yesterday, he suggested that I pack up my Marshall, along with my HVX, and send it to El Segundo, free of charge, so that can rectify my problem. My first thought was of my camera winding up in the wrong cargo bay and being shipped to Bolivia somewhere...never to be seen again. I'm still not sure I like this idea and was wondering what you guys thought about this solution.

not very good in my opinion. When a company can rape for $1000+ for an LCD monitor (seeing as 37inch 1080p screens go for about the same price) then they should be able to get their own dammned HVX to test with.

To be fair, Bernie expressed his exasperation over the situation as well... Maybe Jan could step in and help out....:engel017:

i just think they have to be making a HUGE profit on those monitors, enough to invest in the technology they are making these things for in the first place. Thats like making Mac software but not having a Mac to test it on and just sending it out to retail anyways
